Q1: What are TID Rollover and Key Change Tokens?
TID Rollover is a global unified system upgrade for STS standard prepaid electricity meters that took place on November 24, 2024 (TID counter rollover from the 1993 base date to the 2014 base date).
Key Change Tokens are a pair of special credit tokens (usually two 20-digit codes) issued by the utility company. They are used to help the meter complete TID reset and key upgrade (KRN1 → KRN2), enabling a smooth transition from STS Edition 1 to Edition 2.
Q2: Does this upgrade affect end users (customers)?
The upgrade is almost seamless for users.
During normal electricity purchases, the vending system will automatically provide the Key Change Tokens. Users only need to enter them in sequence. The whole process usually takes only 1-2 minutes and will not affect the existing balance or normal usage of the meter. After the upgrade, the subsequent electricity purchase and usage experience remains exactly the same.

Q6: How to operate Key Change Tokens?
1. When purchasing electricity, users will receive Key Change Token 1, Key Change Token 2, and a normal credit Token.
2. Input sequence: Key Change Token 1 → Key Change Token 2 → Normal Credit Token.
3. After successful entry, the meter will display a confirmation message. The operation is simple and fast.
