SOOCIA DDS722 Single-Phase Smart Energy Meter Achieves STS Certification

2026-08-06

Recently, the DDS722 Single-Phase Smart Energy Meter, independently developed by SOOCIA, successfully passed STS conformance testing and received a Certificate of Conformance issued by the STS Association, Certificate No. STS26091. This certification further strengthens SOOCIA’s international certification portfolio in the field of smart prepaid energy metering and provides important technical and certification support for the company’s continued expansion in the global smart metering market.

STS (Standard Transfer Specification) is a widely adopted international standard for prepaid metering. Through standardized technical specifications, STS enables secure and standardized interaction among different components of prepaid metering systems while enhancing interoperability among STS-compliant products. STS conformance certification is also an important technical requirement for prepaid electricity meters in many international utility and power-sector projects.

According to the certification, the SOOCIA DDS722 Single-Phase Smart Energy Meter was assessed against IEC 62055-41, IEC 62055-51, as well as STS531-4, STS531-5-0, and STS531-6-1-11 Ed 2.3. The certified product uses firmware version V1.0. The certificate confirms that the product has been tested and found to comply with the applicable STS specifications within the scope of the certification testing.

The successful certification of the DDS722 represents another milestone in SOOCIA’s continued efforts to align its smart metering products with international standards. In recent years, the company has continued to develop its smart metering capabilities in response to the requirements of international electricity markets, with ongoing improvements in metering, prepayment, communications, and system integration. Through international certifications and conformance testing, SOOCIA continues to enhance the adaptability of its products to utility projects across different countries and regions.

As smart metering infrastructure continues to expand worldwide, standardization, interoperability, and system compatibility are becoming increasingly important technical requirements for international smart metering projects. SOOCIA will continue to focus on the practical requirements of utilities and power companies worldwide, further advancing product development and international certification while providing global customers with reliable and standardized smart metering products and solutions.
